My dog doesn’t like other dogs – can he still stay with you?

Our regular boarding services are for dogs that are social with other dogs. We allow up to 2 “solo dogs” at a time (dogs that must go out by themselves and are not social with other dogs). There is an additional charge for “solo dogs,” and you should designate that your dog is not social at the time you make your reservation. If we determine your dog is not social with other dogs after he or she arrives, you will be charged the “solo dog” upcharge.

My dog doesn’t like new people, can he still stay with you?

Many dogs take time to warm up to new people. This is a normal part of becoming familiar with us and our staff and a new environment. However, we do not take dogs that are aggressive toward humans and/or have a bite history. If you are not sure how your dog will do in this type of environment with new people, you should arrange for a meet and greet with us.

Can my dog stay with you if he has medical problems?

We are able to accommodate routine daily medications that can be taken in your dog’s food, a pill pocket, etc. and/or a monthly flea/tick medication. We do not administer any type of injections. We should know about any medication administration in advance and the reason for the medication.

Can we visit the facility ahead of time?

Once you have been approved as a new client, and have dates in mind for a future stay, we would be happy to schedule an appointment for you to visit the Dog Farm.

Do you do trial stays?

We do not require trial stays, but if you have a dog that is nervous in new environments, nervous around new people, or otherwise are unsure how your dog will do in a boarding environment, we can arrange for a trial stay. To give your dog a chance to settle in this environment and get a good understanding of how your dog will do on a longer visit, we recommend a 3-night trial visit.

Where do the dogs sleep at night?

Each dog stays in a private 4 x 6 kennel with solid panel sides to provide privacy. Each kennel comes with a Kuranda bed (elevated, cot-style bed).
